Frieze London’s 20th

Frieze London and Frieze Masters 2023 are taking place from October 11 through 15 in The Regent’s Park. Frieze London’s 20th-anniversary celebration includes collaborations with key arts organizations and institutions, alongside extensive features such as Artist-to-Artist, Frieze Artist Award, and Frieze Sculpture.

Six leading galleries have highlighted their booths at Frieze London, featuring artists such as Marina Abramović, Andrew Cranston, Caroline Walker, Dawn Ng, Grace Ndiritu, Peter McDonald, Francis Upritchard, Peter Liversidge, Goshka Macuga, Rose Finn-Kelcey, Tanoa Sasraku, Tahnee Lonsdale, and Reza Aramesh.

Among the highlights for institutional collaborations are a special project with Outset and an off-site film program at the ICA.

Outset Studiomakers Corridor Commission, where recipients of the Studiomakers Prize present an artist takeover at the entrance corridor to Frieze London. Los Angeles-based artist Candice Lin collaborates with Getty’s PST Art initiative, showcasing large-scale indigo-dyed kites in The Regent’s Park.

The Frieze Film x ICA: Artists’ Film Program debuts this year, featuring films selected by leading curators in the field.

Returning initiatives include the Contemporary Art Society’s Collections Fund, the Camden Art Centre Emerging Artist Prize, and the Frieze Tate Fund supported by Endeavor.

Spirit Now London presents the Spirit Now London Acquisition Prize, focusing on empowering female artists under 40. The Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art Prize promotes French artists internationally.

Frieze Masters brings back the Art Fund Curators Program, connecting early-career curators to talks, workshops, and tours, alongside Frieze Masters Talks curated by Dr. Nicholas Cullinan.

Frieze Masters Talks, in collaboration with dunhill, explores historical art and contemporary practice. The Frieze BBC Debate discusses the role of arts organizations in the 21st century.
