Today marks the final day of Paris+ by Art Basel. Held at the Grand Palais Éphémère, this second edition has showcased 154 prominent galleries from 33 different countries. Encompassing a wide range of artists from 20th-century masters to emerging talents, the solo, duo, and group presentations by both French and international artists have firmly established the fair’s significance in the Paris art scene.

The unique character and variety of offerings at Paris+ by Art Basel distinguish it from other art fairs, reflecting its commitment to celebrating its French roots while maintaining a global perspective. This year’s edition, with a smaller number of dealers compared to the Basel fair, aims to provide a distinct experience, drawing both collectors and art enthusiasts from around the world. It continues to evolve and embrace its unique location while showcasing a wide array of artistic expressions.

In addition to the returning exhibitors, four galleries that had participated in the Emerging Galleries sector last year graduated to the fair’s main sector this year. The Emerging Galleries sector welcomed nine new participants, further diversifying the event’s artistic landscape.

Paris+ by Art Basel also introduced six renowned galleries with unique profiles that did not participate in the previous edition, including Blum, Bortolami, kurimanzutto, Jan Mot, Richard Nagy Ltd., and P.P.O.W.

This year, the fair emphasized the engagement of local culture and context. Paris+ expanded its public program, including exhibitions and talks at iconic locations throughout the city. The program featured a collaboration with the Louvre, a monumental textile sculpture by Sheila Hicks, a multimedia installation by Jessica Warboys, and a sculpture by Urs Fischer on display at the Place Vendôme. The fair’s Conversations program, curated by Pierre-Alexandre Mateos and Charles Teyssou, took place in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou.
