Customer Personal Data Protection Policy

This Customer Personal Data Protection Policy (“Policy”) explains how Zarastro Art processes, protects, and stores personal data in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”).

Definition of Personal Data

Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Principles of Personal Data Processing

Zarastro Art processes personal data in accordance with the following principles:

  • Compliance with law and good faith
  • Accuracy and, where necessary, being kept up to date
  • Processing for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes
  • Processing limited and proportionate to the intended purpose
  • Retention for the period required by relevant legislation or the purpose of processing

Legal Grounds for Processing Personal Data

Personal data is processed based on one or more of the legal grounds set out in Articles 5 and 6 of KVKK, including:

  • Necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract
  • Necessity for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a legal right
  • Fulfilment of legal obligations
  • Legitimate interests of Zarastro Art, provided that such processing does not violate fundamental rights and freedoms
  • Explicit consent of the data subject, where no other legal ground applies

Where a valid legal ground exists, explicit consent is not requested. Explicit consent is obtained only where required by law.

Where explicit consent is required, Zarastro Art ensures that such consent is:

  • Related to a specific data processing activity
  • Based on clear and accessible information
  • Given freely, without coercion or misleading statements

Purposes of Personal Data Processing

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Managing customer relationships and communications
  • Processing orders, payments, and deliveries
  • Conducting accounting and financial operations
  • Improving products, services, and user experience
  • Managing customer satisfaction, requests, and complaints
  • Conducting marketing and promotional activities, where permitted
  • Ensuring platform security and preventing fraud or abuse
  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Conducting internal audits and business operations

Personal data may be processed within Turkey or transferred abroad in accordance with KVKK and applicable regulations.

Rights of Data Subjects

Pursuant to Article 11 of KVKK, data subjects have the right to:

  • Learn whether their personal data is processed
  • Request information regarding such processing
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly
  • Learn whether personal data has been transferred to third parties
  • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
  • Request deletion or destruction of personal data where processing grounds no longer exist
  • Object to adverse outcomes arising from automated data processing
  • Claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing

Requests will be evaluated and finalized within the periods stipulated under KVKK.

Data Security Measures

Zarastro Art implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Payment transactions are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Zarastro Art does not store payment card information.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

Updates to This Policy

This Policy may be updated when required by legal, technical, or operational developments. The current version is effective upon publication.
